Ebastatine Oral Solution 120mL:120mg

Symptomatic relief of allergic rhinitis (seasonal and perennial) and chronic idiopathic urticaria. The oral-solution form is intended for patients who have difficulty swallowing tablets (e.g. children able to take liquid preparations and the elderly), per the approved product insert.

Oral. Measure the dose with a calibrated measuring device; may be taken with or without food. Shake the bottle gently before use. Once opened, use within the period stated on the label and store below 25 °C protected from light.

Adults and children ≥12 years: 10 mg (10 mL of 1 mg/mL solution) once daily; in severe symptoms may be increased to 20 mg daily. Children 6–11 years: 5 mg (5 mL) once daily. Children 2–5 years: 2.5 mg (2.5 mL) once daily. Dose adjustment needed in severe hepatic impairment.

Second-generation H1 antihistamine: minimal sedation at recommended doses but avoid alcohol and CNS depressants. Use with caution in patients with QT prolongation or on CYP3A4 inhibitors (ketoconazole, erythromycin) which raise ebastatine levels. Not recommended in pregnancy or lactation unless clearly needed. Contains excipients — check the insert for sorbitol/preservatives in patients with hereditary fructose intolerance.
