🎯Indications▾

Local or systemic therapy when the oral route is unsuitable: fever and pain in children (paracetamol, ibuprofen), constipation, haemorrhoids and rectal inflammation.

💧Administration▾

Wash hands, remove the wrapper, moisten the tip slightly and insert the suppository into the rectum (blunt end first for children, pointed end first for adults). Keep in a cool place — refrigerate in hot climates to prevent melting.

⚖️Dosage▾

Follow the age/weight-based dose for the active ingredient: paracetamol suppository 10–15 mg/kg every 4–6 h; ibuprofen suppository 5–10 mg/kg every 6–8 h; topical/anti-haemorrhoidal suppositories usually 1–2 times daily.

⚠️Precautions & Warnings▾

Avoid in recent rectal surgery, rectal bleeding or diarrhoea. Do not use systemic NSAID suppositories in children under 3 months or with dehydration/renal impairment. Insert gently to avoid mucosal injury.
